As many of you have heard by now September 30th is my last day as a staff pastor at Community Family Church. We are incredibly grateful for the opportunities that have been granted to our family while attending CFC. Debbie and I met there over 18 years ago. We have developed incredible friendships throughout the years that have enhanced our Christian walk while drawing us closer to God and each other. Pastor Tom and Tara Bates are incredible people who have influenced the lives of our entire family in countless ways throughout our many years at CFC. Youth Pastors Josh and Megan Bates, and leaders of both the Youth and Children's ministries past and present have treated our two (now) teenage sons (and our twentysomething Kyle) like family throughout. You simply don't forget these things. We have served in a variety of roles. From greeter's ministry, ushering, communion prep, outreach, men's ministry, women's ministry and some others I'm probably forgetting. In 2008 we had the extreme honor to be the Campus Pastors at Community North for 16 months, an outreach extension of CFC, in Cincinnati OH. In April of 2010, I became a staff pastor at Community. Incredible people have been strategically placed in our lives throughout our entire time at CFC. Too many to name, but most know who they are. At the present we are working with some more outstanding families on a church plant in my hometown of Warsaw KY. We feel incredibly blessed to be given the opportunity to pastor in the county I was born and raised. Over the next few weeks more information will be made available about this new endeavor on this Facebook page. Gallatin Community Church is an independent work located at 107 East High Street in Warsaw KY. Renovation is underway. There will be a VisionCast Service on Saturday September 10th 2016 at 6:30pm. All are invited. On that day the staff of GCC will be introduced; also, I and others will share the vision for what the future looks like for the Gallatin Community Church. We are still in the planning stages for this event but it will be an exciting time for sure. The LAUNCH service will be Sunday October 2nd 2016 at 10:30am.
