Senior Pastor | Steven Coomer

Pastor Steve is a 1986 graduate of Gallatin County High School, a 2012 graduate of Cincinnati Christian University where he obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Biblical Studies with a core content emphasis in Pastoral Ministry and Church Leadership, and a 2023 Graduate of Grand Canyon University finishing a Master’s Degree in Psychology with Life Coaching Certification. Pastor Coomer is bi-vocational, serving as GCC’s Senior Pastor, and is employed as the Program Director for Champions for a Drug Free Community.  Debbie Coomer is a 1983 graduate of Simon Kenton High School.  She serves as the Women’s Pastor at GCC and is employed by US Bank as a multi-state project manager.

 

 

They are faithful supporters of the Gallatin County Schools and ardent fans of the Gallatin County Wildcats. Pastor Steve is the assistant coach of the Girl’s Varsity Basketball team at GCHS. 


The Coomer family has grown exponentially during their pastorate at GCC. They have three sons: Kyle (Kyleigh) Coomer; Chase (Abby) Coomer; and Troy Coomer, along with 5 grandchildren: Noah, Isaac, Colson, Jackson, and Addison. Add in the family's five combined dogs: Ace, Uno, Charlie, Lucy, and Zoey, and you have the makings of a full house on Sundays and holidays.
